- Here is a preliminary sketch of input and output provided by this system. The real problem here is to partition the city into easily walkable stretches that are near circulars. Consider though that some of the city will not get covered. So obviously relates to political GIS systems for targeting demographic, etc. It is a defined subset of the city. Possible preliminary stupid system for defining areas is street names collimating parititon. Then union them. Then try to minimize everyone's route maybe using L2 norm for fairness, and maximize coverage of selected areas. Here is another possible scenario: given a list of people, and personal constraints on number of households or distance walked, tries to determine optimal routes. Another aspect of this project is creation and postprocessing of the petition forms.
